Then I decided to come up with something of my own, based in part on existing information. I “cancelled” late dinners, although it was difficult to do this, because I often finished work after 21:00. I started trying to have a snack at work at 6:00 p.m., and upon returning home to feed only my child and husband - I myself drank only mint tea.

It was hard at first, but I soon realized that if you eat enough during the day, it’s easier to give up late dinner! However, the weight came off too slowly, and after a while I understood why: I really love sweets. Then I started eating all the “bad things” before 12 noon. This category soon included not only sweets, but also everything too fatty, and simply heavy food. I replaced milk chocolate with dark chocolate, regular sugar with brown sugar, and semi-sweet wine with dry wine during the holidays.

Diet doesn't solve problems

The weight budged and began to fall rapidly when I added daily exercise to my new diet. I did it at home, since there was almost no free time left: I developed a complex for myself, which consisted of regular abdominal exercises, several options for the legs, arms, buttocks and chest. All together it took no more than 20 minutes, sometimes even less, but when done daily it gave tangible results. Sometimes I still managed to get into the pool.

At first I wanted to write a book, the main idea of ​​which would be the idea: “What do men want?” But the more I thought about it, the more this version confused me. I knew very well what the stronger sex wanted from a relationship. The problem is that I was not always ready to meet their requirements. Sometimes I agreed to accept their rules of the game for a while, but very quickly realized that I did not see any meaning in them for myself.

I know for sure that I am not the only one facing a similar problem. Many of us understand how to behave, but are tormented by the question: “Why do I need this? What do I get in return for giving up so much in life? And here I said to myself: “Stop!” - this is a truly difficult moment: not only to learn to correspond to your partner’s ideas about an ideal woman, but remain yourself. And at the same time maintain the desire to continue the current relationship.

In my own experience and in the examples of others, I have often noticed how much the fate of a couple depends on the woman’s contribution to it. When we try, because we understand why and for whom we are doing it, everything is fine. As soon as we get tired and throw off the “strap of relationships” from our strained shoulders, everything goes to hell. A woman has the power to make a man infinitely happy. But she might as well make him feel absolutely exhausted.

Ideally, we want to feel protected, but at the same time, with every fiber of our being we push away the idea of ​​control. It turns out to be a contradiction. On the one hand, we want to constantly keep our finger on the pulse, but on the other hand, we complain about endless fatigue.

This is exactly what I want to talk to you about: how to learn to balance between selfishness, feminism, self-sacrifice, indifference and real madness, when you want to break into pieces for a man, even if he doesn’t really ask you to do so. I will not urge you to give up communication with men forever, because they are “universal evil,” as some books claim. And I won’t write about the fact that the presence of a person of the opposite sex is an obligatory component of life, without which one cannot be happy. Hand on heart, not all women in relationships are happy with their lot. Often those who live alone feel more harmonious. Married women usually grimace in disbelief at the sight of their self-sufficient friends, who insist that they are fine without men. “Singles” listen with poorly concealed horror to stories about difficult family everyday life.

In reality, the truth is this: a woman is doing exactly the right thing if she feels happy. Even if she is not entirely sincere in her joy, such an approach is much more productive than constant whining about her ruined life. Six months ago, I promised myself not to start a new relationship until I understood myself. This happened in June, and I mentally gave myself until the New Year. I confess, I couldn’t stand it for so long. But I had a good reason. I met a man completely by chance, without making any plans for him, but our relationship began to develop rapidly, and in the fall I went to see him in Madrid. This time, I acted in accordance with the conclusions that I made in the process of writing the book, thanks to which I avoided many of the mistakes that I had made before. The result exceeded all my expectations. I live with the person I have been looking for for a long time, and I feel very happy. On February 3, 2012 we got married.

You can start reading from any chapter, depending on what stage you are at now. If you are going to find a companion, I highly recommend reading the very last chapter right away and then going back to the beginning. Those already in a relationship will likely find chapter three particularly interesting. And so on. In 2009, Ekaterina wrote her first fiction book, “The Ghost and Me.”

By 2012, more than thirty books by Mirimanova had already been published, including four fiction books with a total circulation of 26 thousand copies. The total circulation of her books is more than 2 million copies in 2013. In 2009-2010, Ekaterina hosted her program on the My Family radio station.
