Opening the chakras through static meditation

static meditation(an exercise that causes a mental state in which a person is able to focus on anything of his own free will or not think about what can interfere with the process of self-deepening at the moment) is one of the stages of moving towards the goal of higher yoga: the merging of the “I” with the Absolute. This goal is the ultimate in all types of higher yoga: in Raja yoga (achieving the highest goal through a set of exercises), in Karma yoga (achieving the goal through activity), in Jnani yoga (achieving the goal through knowledge), in Bhakti yoga ( achievement of the goal through love for the Absolute). The most popular technique for achieving the highest goal is through the methods of Raja Yoga.

In Raja Yoga, the practitioner, having mastered the first four steps of yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asanas, Pranayama), which are Hatha Yoga, and then, having mastered the fifth (Pratyahara) and sixth (Dharana) steps, proceeds to master the seventh step - meditation ( Dhyana). As an object of meditation, there can be chakras, images of a deity (and sometimes objects). Pratyahara (disconnecting the mind from sensory perception), Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (meditation) are parts of the same gradually deepening process. Moreover, these parts, with a sufficiently large experience of classes, do not have a clear boundary. For those who have so far acquired little experience in Raja Yoga, Pratyahara comes first, then Dharana begins, and only then does Dhyana develop, the result of which can be Samadhi (a superconscious state in which the “I” merges with the Absolute).

Yogis say that in the lower chakra - Muladharachakra (in the region of the coccyx) there is a condensed, compressed form of energy, which they called Kundalini-Shakti and is symbolically represented as a snake coiled in three and a half turns. In the process of performing Samyama (a combination of Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi), Kundalini-Shakti rises from chakra to chakra, opening them (when Kundalini-Shakti rises to the highest chakra - Sahasrara and opens it, the state of Samadhi comes).

Breathing exercises to open the chakras

Opening Muladharachakra

To open the Muladharachakra, the yogic breathing exercise Sukh Purvak can be used. Sitting in any position for breathing exercises (pose of diamond, half lotus, lotus), we straighten the spine (back, neck and head in one straight line). The index finger is on the forehead in the area of ​​the third eye, the thumb and middle fingers are on the wings of the right and left nostrils, respectively. During inhalation (for 4 beats of the pulse through the left nostril), we imagine that prana accumulates in the Ajnachakra through the respiratory system. While holding the breath after inhalation (for 16 cycles of the pulse), we direct prana from the Ajnachakra through the Ida channel (passing along the left side of the spine) and hit the Muladharachakra with this flow of energy. During exhalation (for 8 cycles of the pulse through the right nostril), we direct prana from the Muladharachakra through the Pingalo channel (passing along the right side of the spine) from the bottom up to the Ajnachakra. Then an inhalation is immediately taken (for 4 beats of the pulse through the right nostril) with the accumulation of prana in the Ajnachakra, while holding the breath after inhalation (for 16 beats of the pulse), prana is directed from the Ajnachakra through the Pingalo channel and hits the Muladharachakra, on exhalation (for 8 beats of the pulse through the left nostril), prana is directed up the Ida channel from Muladharachakra to Ajnachakra. While holding your breath after inhaling, it is recommended to repeat the mantra “Lam”. This exercise awakens the Kundalini Shakti located in the Muladhara Chakra.

Opening the Svadhishthanachakra

The method of opening this chakra is similar to the method of opening Muladharachakra. The difference in actions on holding the breath after inhalation. Here, while holding the breath after inhalation, we direct the energy along the Ida (or Pingalo) to the Muladharachakra, hit the energy on this chakra, accompanied by the mantra “Lam”, then quickly transfer the prana to the Svadhishthanachakra through the central channel Sushumna, where we hold our breath for a few seconds, repeating all the time the mantra “You”, after that we return the prana to the Muladharachakra with a mental repetition of the mantra “Lam”.

Opening Manipurachakra

The opening of the chakra is carried out in the same way as in the previous case, only while holding the breath after inhalation, one more chakra is added, while holding the breath, we direct the energy along the Ida (or Pingalo) to the Muladharachakra, strike this chakra with energy, accompanied by the mantra “Lam”, conduct prana in Svadhishthanachakra, uttering the mantra "You"; we carry out prana in Manipurachakra, mentally pronouncing the mantra "Ram"; after that, we return the flow of energy to the Muladharachakra with a mental repetition of the mantra “Lam”.

Another exercise can be used to open the chakra. Having taken a horizontal position, we slowly inhale, expanding the chest and drawing in the stomach. While holding the breath after inhalation, we transfer air from the chest cavity to the abdomen (into the lower part of the lungs), and the chest should fall, and the stomach should move forward. Then we again return the air to the chest cavity, drawing in the stomach and expanding the chest. Repeat 3-5 times, then exhale. This exercise should be performed during the day 3-5 times, devoting 5-10 minutes to it daily.

Opening Anahatachakra

The impact on the Anahatachakra using the Ida, Pingalo and Sushumna channels is similar to the above effect on the Manipurachakra. While holding the breath after inhalation, we send a pranic current along the Ida (or Pingalo) to the Muladharachakra, then along the Sushumna - to the Svadhisthanachakra, Manipurachakra and, finally, to the Anahatachakra, repeating the mantra "Pam". After a few seconds of focusing attention and concentration of energy in the Anahatachakra, we send energy to the Muladharachakra through the Manipurachakra and Svadhisthanachakra.

Another exercise for opening the chakra: take a full yogic breath and, while holding the breath, focus on the heart, listening to its beating and mentally seeing the work of the heart. Repeat the “Pam” mantra with each heartbeat, trying not to distract your attention for a second from the desire to mentally see the heart. One can imagine a brilliant point inside the heart and focus attention on it. Then make a full yogic exhalation.

Opening of Vishuddhachakra, Ajnachakra, Sahasrarachakra

To open these chakras, similarly to the previous exercises, we use the Ida, Pingalo and Sushumna channels. To open the Vishuddhachakra, we send the pranic current while holding the breath after inhalation through Ida or Pingalo to the Muladharachakra, then through Sushumna we conduct the pranic current through all the chakras from the bottom up to the Vishuddhachakra, where we concentrate for a few seconds and repeat the mantra "Ham". Then, along the Sushumna, successively through the chakras, we lower the energy down to the Muladharachakra.

When opening the Ajnachakra, we bring the pranic current while holding the breath along the Sushumna to the Ajnachakra, where we concentrate our attention for a few seconds, and then we lower the pranic current down through the chakras.

When opening the Sahasrarachakra, we draw the pranic current through the Sushumna through all the chakras until the Sahasrarachakra, where we concentrate on it for several seconds, and then lower the flow of energy sequentially down the chakras.

The main method of self-charging the chakras in humans

Self exercise to recharge the chakras:

Inhale slowly for 10-15 seconds, hold your breath for 10-15 seconds, then exhale for 20 seconds and again hold your breath for 5-10 seconds. After 6-8 breaths, move on to the next part of the exercise.

Visualize yourself in black space as a transparent figurine. To recharge a person's chakras, inhale air for 25 seconds. Fill yourself with the energy of the color of the first chakra up to the coccygeal region, then hold your breath for as long as you can and exhale for 30 seconds. What are chakras?

How to charge chakras?

The first way to charge the Muladhara chakra:

All chakras are located on the inside of the spine. Relax your whole body and focus on Muladhara. Close your eyes. Mentally, you can pronounce the mantra "LAM" - this is the mantra of the Muladhara chakra.

1. Sit on the floor on your heels. Palms - on the hips.

2. Inhale, lean forward, bending the lower back. Exhale, lean back.

3. With each exhalation, say the mantra "LAM".

The exercise should be repeated several times. Pose - sitting, back straight, legs crossed, hands folded together. If you are sitting on a chair, then it should be hard.

After a while, you will feel a bursting in the coccyx area. Some may have a feeling as if something is whining, twisting. This is also the feeling of chakra.

Soon you will see the color of the chakra. Sitting with your eyes closed, focusing on the chakra, mentally saying "LAM", you will suddenly see a spinning vortex of red color that rotates clockwise. Vision occurs on a subconscious level.

Try to remember the color, the shape of the vortex. A clean, even color, the absence of deformations and blotches indicates that the Muladhara chakra is in a normal state.

Dirty color, shape distortion, inclusions indicate that the chakra is clogged, that the lower energy layer leaves much to be desired.

You can develop the chakra in the way described above with the pronunciation of the mantra "LAM".

Second way:

Mentally, you need to enter the chakra and exhale energy there. Inhale through the nose, exhale into the chakra.

Third way:

You need to sit down, as mentioned above. Imagine a small ping-pong ball on the tip of your nose and mentally make it rotate counterclockwise. Breathing with the stomach, while inhaling, mentally pronounce the syllable “SO”, while exhaling “HAM”.

After a while, you will feel a bursting in the coccyx area. The color of the chakra will not be visible, it must be invoked with a mantra.

First wayCharging Svadhishthana Chakra:

Place your hands on your ankles and take a deep breath.

3. Lean forward with your chest out.

3. Exhale while simultaneously arching your back and pushing your pelvis forward, resting on your sitting bones.

Repeat the exercise several times, reciting the mantra if desired. Mentally descending from top to bottom, enter the spine at the level of the pubis. The mantra is "VAM". An orange vortex will appear.

Second way:

As in the case of Muladhara, you need to mentally enter the chakra and exhale energy.

Third way:

Imagine a small orange ping-pong ball on the tip of your nose and spin it counterclockwise. Fullness, heaviness or other sensations will appear in the lower abdomen, at the level of the pubis, from the sides of the abdomen.

You can do this experience: posture, as in the first case, eyes closed. Mentally say "Jehovah" or "Yahweh" - Svadhisthana will respond. Experiments are best done when the chakras are already somewhat developed.

Fourth way:

1. Lie on the floor and rise on your elbows.

2. Raise your feet to a height of 30 cm from the floor. Spread your legs and inhale.

3. Exhaling, cross your legs at the level of the knees: the legs should be straight.

Repeat the exercise several times, then raise your legs even higher, and again repeat the same exercise several times. You need to do the exercise until the legs are at a height of 70 cm from the floor. Then gradually lower your legs, performing the same movements. Relax and repeat the exercise a few more times.

How to charge the Manipura Chakra?

1. Sit on the floor with your legs crossed.

2. Grasp the front of the shoulders with your fingers, and the back with your thumbs.

3. Inhale and turn the body to the left; exhaling, turn to the right. Breathe deeply and slowly.

The back must be straight. Repeat the exercise several times in both directions. Rest for one minute and repeat the exercise, kneeling.

How to charge Anahata chakra?

1. Sit on the floor with your legs crossed. Rest straight fingers on the heart area, elbows wide apart.

2. Move your elbows like a saw.

3. Pull your arms to your chest. Breathing should be slow and deep.

Repeat the exercise while sitting on your heels. This increases the energy level.

How to charge the Vishuddha Chakra?

1. Sit on the floor with your legs crossed. Hold your knees firmly with your hands, arms straight at the elbows.

2. Begin to gradually bend the spine in the thoracic region.

3. When moving forward, inhale; when moving backward, exhale. Repeat several times and rest.

4. Now bend your back, simultaneously raising your shoulders as you inhale and lower them as you exhale. Repeat several times.

5. Inhale and freeze with raised shoulders. Relax and repeat this exercise while sitting on your heels.

How to charge Ajna chakra?

1. Sit on the floor with your legs crossed and your fingers around your throat.

2. Inhale, hold your breath, tighten your stomach and sphincter, trying to squeeze energy up, like toothpaste from a tube.

3. Release energy through the top of your head by raising your arms above your head, interlacing your fingers into a lock. Repeat exercise.

Repeat it again, sitting on your heels.

First charging methodSahasrara Chakra:

1. Sit on the floor with your legs crossed and arms outstretched above your head.

2. Weave all fingers, except for the index fingers, which should be raised up.

3. Inhale by pulling in the navel and pronouncing the syllable "SAT".

4. Exhale while saying "NAM" and relaxing the navel. For a few minutes, breathe in this way at a fast pace.

5. Then inhale and squeeze the energy from the base of the spine to the crown, first tensing the sphincter muscles and then the abdominal muscles.

6. Hold your breath.

7. Then slowly, while maintaining muscle tension, exhale. Relax and unwind.

If you do not like the mantra "SAT NAM", then use the mantra at your own discretion. Repeat the exercise sitting on your heels. Take a rest. Repeat the exercise without reciting the mantra. Instead, breathe vigorously through your nose.

Second way:

1. Sit on the floor with your legs crossed.

2. Raise your arms to an angle of 60 degrees, straightening your wrists and elbows. The palms are looking up.

3. Vigorously, snoring, breathe through your nose for one minute.

4. While inhaling, hold your breath, quickly draw in and relax your stomach 16 times.

5. Exhale and relax. Repeat the exercise 2 or 3 times.

Chakra 1 (muladhara)

Stand with your legs wide apart, turn your socks outward as far as possible, but so as not to experience discomfort in the knee area. Bend your knees as much as possible. As you train, you should be able to lower your buttocks to knee level. Get down and up a few times.

Chakra 4 (anahata)

This is an isometric positional exercise. Get on your hands and knees as shown in the picture. In this position, your elbows should not touch the floor. Hands are used as a support. By changing the angle between the buttocks and thighs, make sure that you begin to feel the tension between the shoulder blades. Men with developed shoulder girdle muscles will first feel tension in their shoulders, so be careful. Feeling the tension, take an isometric pose, bending forward, then arching back. Visualizations for opening the chakras

To perform this exercise, sit comfortably in a chair or in the lotus position on the floor with a pillow. Straighten your back.


First, after calming down through meditation, focus on your first chakra. Imagine it as a whirlpool of red light rotating clockwise (when looking at your body from the side). The chakra is located directly below you: its funnel is directed downward, and its tip is directed to the lower end of your spinal column. Watching the chakra, inhale its redness, then exhale. Visualize red as you inhale. When exhaling, do not visualize, just see what color your exhalation is. Repeat the exercise until you can see the red light consistently on both inhalation and exhalation. If the red light on the exhale is dimmer or paler than it is on the inhale, then you need to balance your red energy. If the color is pale, then you need to add red to the auric field; if the color is cloudy and dark, then you need to cleanse your lower chakras. To do this, repeat the exercise until the color on the exhale is the same as on the inhale. This holds power for all chakras.


Having held the picture of the first chakra in front of your inner eye, go to the second, which is located 5 cm above the pubic bone. Visualize two whirlpools, one on the front of the body, the other on the back. See how they rotate clockwise, casting a red-orange light. Breathe in this light. Breathe it out. Repeat the exercise. Before moving on, make sure the color of the exhalation is the same as the color of the inhalation.


Having achieved a stable visualization of the first two chakras, move on to the third, located in the solar plexus area. In this place, you need to visualize two yellow whirlpools. Breathe yellow. Breathe in that color, breathe it out. Repeat the exercise until the color of the exhalation is the same as the color of the inhalation.


Move on to the heart. Take a closer look at the green whirlpools rotating clockwise. Inhale and exhale this color until the colors of exhalation and inhalation are equal. Look down to see all the other chakras (which you have already charged). Watch them rotate before moving on to the throat chakra.


For the throat chakra, inhale and exhale blue light from clockwise swirling whirlpools.


At the third eye chakra, one must visualize clockwise rotating whirlpools on the front and back of the head. The color of the whirlpools is purple. Repeat the above breathing exercises.


Now move on to the crown. This chakra has an opalescent white color. The chakra is located at the top of the head and rotates clockwise. Breathe in the white spit. Breathe it out. Repeat the exercise.


Look at all seven chakras rotating clockwise. Take a closer look at the flow of energy flowing through the main energy channel in the spinal column. This stream pulsates in time with your breath.
