The frontalis muscle is the largest facial muscle of the face and is part of the occipital-frontal muscle, the frontal and occipital parts of which are connected by a wide tendon (tendon helmet). The occipital muscle is attached to the bones of the cranial vault and serves as a support for the frontalis muscle. The fibers of the frontalis muscle are arranged vertically.
