What are wise and what they treat. Wise for health promotion. Eastern mudra Shield of Shambhala

If you feel anxious and restless or tired, and there is no opportunity to meditate or do yoga, doing mudras will help you. This ancient practice is able to redirect energy flows in the body, which has a beneficial effect on the physical and emotional state of a person. In this article, you will learn how to perform mudras.

Why mudras work?

Before learning how to perform mudras, let's understand how this practice works. From Sanskrit, the word "mudra" is translated as "sign", "seal". Mudra is a ritual sign language that has come down to us from ancient India. Initially, there were few mudras, about 9 (they were correlated with different stages of meditation), but now about 180 gestures are known. With the help of mudras, you can get rid of depressive thoughts, improve memory, tune in to positive thinking and improve health.

Performing this or that mudra, we activate important points located on the palms and fingers, release or close various energy channels, control energy flows.

Each finger has its own energy and body part:

  • large: will, ego, logical thinking, head;
  • index: wisdom, self-confidence, knowledge, left hand;
  • middle: self-control, patience, left leg;
  • unnamed: vitality, health, right leg;
  • little finger: creativity, craving for beauty, right hand.

On this connection, the beneficial effect of the wise on the general condition of the body and mind of a person is based.

How to perform mudras? Rules

To get the best result, regularity and consistency are important in any practice. Mudras must be performed daily: morning, afternoon and evening. To achieve maximum efficiency, you need to exercise without a break for 21 days. The duration of holding each mudra is 2-5 minutes. If you practice several mudras, take breaks of 1-2 minutes between exercises.

Special preparation for performing the mudra is not required. The main thing is to feel comfortable. Find a place where nothing will distract you.

If desired, mudras can be combined with the performance of some asanas during yoga classes, this will enhance the effectiveness of both practices.

Remove all jewelry from your hands, relax your hands, close your eyes. Mudras are performed simultaneously with both hands. When the fingers touch, there should be no tension or squeezing. Keep fingers that are not involved in the exercise relaxed. Consider your capabilities, and if the exercise says to straighten your finger, do it without tension, like other movements.

Six main energy channels associated with the heart, lungs, brain, liver, spleen, vascular system, large and small intestines run through the hands and fingers of a person.

The art of Wisdom originated in China over two thousand years ago.. The healers of that time believed that the vital activity of the organism is supported not only by food, but also by the energy that it receives from the Cosmos.

This energy circulates through special meridian channels that provide “delivery” to all organs and tissues of the body. If a failure occurs in one or more meridians, the energy "fuel" stops flowing to its destination, and the work of the internal organs is disrupted. The reasons may be different: adverse external conditions, poor heredity, stress, and the result is the same: a person begins to get sick.

Six main energy channels associated with the heart, lungs, brain, liver, spleen, vascular system, large and small intestines run through the hands and fingers of a person. That is why the hand has such great healing power! By connecting fingers in certain combinations, you can activate the meridians and direct energy throughout the body, restore the flow of energy and eliminate “breakdowns” in diseased organs.

Learning to put your fingers in healing combinations is easy. It is better to perform Mudras in a calm environment, facing east. But if necessary, they can be done anywhere - on a walk, in transport, at work during a lunch break. It doesn't matter if you are sitting, standing or walking.

Keep your hands calm, without tension. Some exercises can be done on the street without taking your hands out of your pockets, as well as in mittens (in this case, you will have to release your thumb and fold the mudra right inside the mittens). It's best to take your gloves off. There should be no jewelry on the hands: rings, bracelets.

Of great importance is the attitude with which the Mudras are performed. Starting classes, you must be absolutely calm and confident that healing gestures will bring you relief. Forget about troubles and sorrows, mentally ask for forgiveness from those whom you offended, and try to forgive the one who offended you yourself. If you are a believer, before starting the exercises, read a prayer, ask the higher powers to help you, and after finishing the classes, do not forget to thank the one you turned to for help.

When using healing gestures, energy flows are normalized not only in the body of the one who performs them, but also in the surrounding space. This means that Mudras can be treated at a distance. The main thing is to experience a sincere desire to help those who need it. If this person is next to you, calmly, trying not to draw attention to yourself, go up to him and start doing the Mudra that is most suitable for this situation. If you are far away, imagine the addressee and mentally hold his image in front of you during the entire time you are doing the exercise.

When choosing the right Mudra, remember that you can relieve pain and discomfort, but not get rid of the causes of the disease. For example, your head may hurt not only because your blood pressure has risen, but also because of osteochondrosis or poor digestion. In order for the effect on the body to be complex, perform during the day not one, but several Mudras.

Mudras (“seal, sign”) - hands arranged in a certain way, are a ritual sign language, in Hinduism and Buddhism - symbolically located hands.

Mudras are a powerful way to influence yourself, thanks to which you can find inner peace and health. This is one of the most proven, centuries-old methods of self-improvement that can be practiced anytime, anywhere.

For healing since ancient times, people have used various combinations of the location of the fingers. Ritual arrangements of the fingers were also used to enter certain states of consciousness and for meditation.

From one point of view, in accordance with the energy structure of a person, the main meridians (there are six of them) end on three fingers, with the help of mudras, the energy current closes, forming a certain configuration between the organs, which will directly affect the state of the organs and health.

From another point of view, energy centers (chakras) and subtle bodies (aura and its layers) are projected onto the fingers. Acting through the fingers in a certain way, the functions of the bodies and energy centers are activated. That is, the impact will be on the physical, ethereal, astral and mental bodies.

If you connect your fingers, acting on the fingertip or phalanx, the corresponding chakras and bodies will be activated, if you press your finger to the palm (closed finger) - this will lead to a braking and calming effect of their functions.

Fingers that are not actively involved in mudras, on which the corresponding energy centers and bodies are projected, will not affect the work of the chakras and bodies in any way, the chakras and bodies will function in the usual way. There are a variety of mudras and many of them. Some affect health, some affect emotions, and there are mudras that affect consciousness.

body position

Performing mudras, turn your face to the East. Mudras can be performed in any position: sitting, standing, lying down or walking. The main thing is to focus on the mudra and what you want to achieve with it. Performing mudras does not require a special setting or room, they can be performed on a walk, in a meeting, while watching TV. Although, it goes without saying, Mudras are best used during meditation. At the same time, the classic lotus position is traditionally recommended.

The body should be symmetrical, centered and relaxed. If you are sitting on a chair while performing Mudras, your back should be evenly touching the back of the chair, and your feet should have good contact with the floor. If you are lying down, naturally, the position of the back will be most suitable when using a sufficiently hard, even and large surface for this.

If you are practicing Mudras while standing, spread your legs shoulder-width apart and point your toes straight ahead.

If you walk while performing Mudras, then walking should be even, calm and rhythmic. In any case, it is important to be free, relaxed, since every distortion or any tension in the body impedes internal energy flows, and sharply weakens the impact of Mudras.

Pay attention to the symmetrical posture, and the position of the hands, which should be at a distance of several centimeters from the body. Only this already gives internal balance and regulates the activity of the nervous system and endocrine glands. The pressure of the fingers is very light and gentle, and the hands are relaxed.

If a certain Mudra causes difficulty for you, then this signals a problem in the corresponding part of the body or in the organ corresponding to this Mudra. In this case, devote more time to such a Mudra, learning it and then further practice in order to quickly get rid of your problem.

Breath

With proper breathing, the action of the Mudras can be multiplied many times over. Knowing the principles of this mechanism, you will be able to influence the action of the Mudras according to your needs.

  • During deep breathing, in addition to carbon dioxide, we also give away “corrupted” energy on the subtle plane. Before starting classes, take a few forced exhalations, making room for new energies.
  • Always take a short pause after inhaling and exhaling, just a few seconds. This is the most important thing in the respiratory process. In these pauses, internal forces are tuned to the desired level.
  • If you are practicing Mudras for calming, then slow down the exhalation.
  • If you are practicing Mudras for revitalization, vigor, then intensify your breath.
  • The quality of breathing is optimal if it is slow, rhythmic, deep, but not aggressive.

So. At the beginning of the session, you exhale several times strongly and at the same time make your breathing deeper and slower. Now you have 3 possibilities.

First: Breathe evenly and feel the contact of the fingers of the same strength when inhaling and exhaling.

Second: You can squeeze your fingertips a little harder as you inhale and release the pressure as you exhale.

Third: You can squeeze your fingertips a little harder as you exhale and release the pressure as you inhale.

Each opportunity has its own special action.

The first centers, brings the internal state into balance and, in general, streamlines the forces.

The second strengthens the will and refreshes.

The third promotes calm and relaxation.

Try these options and experience the difference for yourself! Find your optimal breathing rate and your optimal breathing depth and observe for a few minutes. You can do Mudras and think about anything at the same time. But it's better if you focus on your own breathing. Appropriate visualizations and affirmations serve as a good support for the action of Mudras.

During the day, mudra should be repeated no more than 5-6 times for 5-10 minutes. The optimal time for one lesson is 45 minutes, but you can break it into shorter intervals (10, 15 and 20 minutes each).

If the Mudras are used to eliminate problems or diseases, in fact, as a medicine, then it is better to “take” them also as a medicine at the same time 3-4 times a day for 5-15 minutes.

If you are taking medication, it is best to do the exercises half an hour before or half an hour after taking the medication.

Attention!

If, while performing this or that mudra, you feel any discomfort, stop the exercise immediately, and after a while try to perform another mudra with a similar effect.

One of the important ones. It is easy to connect the index finger and the thumb pad, straighten the remaining fingers, do not strain. This mudra will help stop the internal dialogue, improve thinking, memory will be activated, potential opportunities will be concentrated.

Protective Mudra from energy vampirism

Mudra equips us with protection from someone else's negative influence, which can affect us in the most unfavorable way in the case when we easily get lost and succumb to the influence - often unconsciously - of our counterpart. By identifying with the feelings and thoughts of others - when, for example, we allow unacceptable closeness or want to correct something, while going too far in a purely personal matter - we unconsciously allow our counterpart to connect to our energy and pump it out.

If we do something not voluntarily and, frankly, to the detriment of ourselves, we are energetically devastated and, as a result, we ourselves may turn out to be energy vampires. Through this mudra, we form a lock and thanks to it we protect our stomach, the softest and most vulnerable part of the body, as well as our emotional state from someone else's influence.

Our body is a powerful energy system, coupled with the Universe, with the energy of the Sun. On human hands there are not only projections of internal organs, but also energy flows.

Since ancient times, healers have believed that the correct connection of hands can heal a person, affect his well-being and life in general. Mudra yoga for the fingers is a type of yoga aimed at working with the fingers.

What is wise?

It is impossible to unambiguously understand the term yoga mudra. This is a set of provisions, all kinds of gestures that have a multifaceted meaning. This is a certain sign language, and gymnastics, and magic, but the main thing is a method of connecting the soul and body, penetrating into your subconscious.

Mudras are used as independent exercises, and in moments of preparation for the main yoga poses and in combination with other exercises.

A feature of this type of yoga is considered to be a different interpretation of the gestures of the Hindus and the Chinese, but there is no mistake in any of the meanings. Today, joint interpretation of gestures, taken from both systems together, is also used. The main thing is that the entire algorithm for performing exercises must be conscious. Exercises can be used in the following moments:

    in the process of meditation;

    in contemplation;

    in combination with asanas;

    in the treatment of both mental illness and physical condition.

Benefit

In general, the benefits of performing this type of yoga are aimed at healing the body, cleansing the mind and establishing a connection between body and soul. Chin mudra - mudra of consciousness

Another powerful mudra that is recommended to be performed by everyone without exception is the chin mudra. Mudra is folded with two fingers - forefinger and thumb. Chin mudra is very similar to jnana mudra, even experts in this field cannot accurately name the differences between them and their effect. By and large, the name of the mudra does not play a role, the main thing is the end result. Both mudras are used to put thoughts in order, to concentrate on the main, discarding the secondary.

A powerful flow of negative energy from the outside can cause a sharp deterioration in well-being, exacerbation of chronic diseases, feelings of anxiety and fear. Fortunately, omnipotent mudras are able to protect us from the negative effects of alien energy. One of the most important protective mudras is the "Shield of Shambhala", we already wrote about it in the article.

Regular performance of the mudra not only fights against extraneous unwanted influences, but also develops the body's defenses, increases the level of one's own energy, and activates the Manipura chakra, which is responsible for self-confidence. Xepana mudra - the mudra of liberation

Often negative energy accumulates in the body and has a negative impact on the physical and psychological state. It is vital to deal with such energy. One of the most effective methods of getting rid of negativity is mudras, especially Ksepana mudra. Performing it, a person cleanses the mind of evil thoughts.

If we consider the effect of doing the mudra in physiological terms, then getting rid of the negative (slags, toxins, viruses and bacteria) occurs with the help of the human excretory system. Mudra activates the work of the kidneys, genitourinary system, skin, sebaceous and sweat glands. The effect of Ksepan mudra is especially noticeable in the treatment of influenza and SARS. If we consider the disease as the result of an excess of negativity, then mudra helps to balance the energies. The result is visible - with profuse sweating after folding the mudra, there is a noticeable relief.

In order to take the mudra correctly, you should cross bent fingers together, leaving only the index fingers straightened. This mudra is performed for a limited amount of time, literally a few breaths, in order to prevent the “pouring out” of positive energy.
