Unusual sports. Sports - list. Extreme sports. Extreme, extreme hobbies and sports

Regardless of your physical fitness, whether you can run or not, you can always choose a sport to your liking. Every country has its most famous sport, be it baseball, basketball, football or hockey. There are, of course, a variety of reasons for the universal popularity of sports. We benefit greatly from this as it is a great way to meet new people or gather old friends, and it can also help you improve your physical and mental health.

When we start to be interested in extreme sports, our physical condition comes first, because this sport involves great risks. Pastimes such as mud cycling, bungee jumping, snowboarding, and perhaps skateboarding are widely known around the world for their high level of risk in terms of bodily injury. Participation in these sports has long been considered a priority for adrenaline addicts who are looking for additional sensations, they simply lack regular football. Also, those who take part in it are often known as rebels. Here, we'll take a look at some sports that are so extreme that you've probably never even heard of them. Yes, and do not try it again!

At number ten, we introduce you to slacklining, a sport that involves balancing along a narrow moving ribbon that is stretched close to the ground. To some extent it resembles walking on a tightrope, but in this version there is no special lighting and a mesh stretched underneath. The sport originated in the 70s at Camp Yosemite when climbers began using the slacklining process to improve their core strength and balance between climbs. It has proven to be very beneficial, and has become a favorite sport among adrenaline junkies.

The really quirky Trainsurfing is ninth on our list. It is a dangerous pastime that seems to have been very popular in South Africa and India. Why is it so attractive to young people? The fact is that you have to perform the so-called "dance" on a rapidly rushing train. Train surfers must continuously avoid cables carrying up to 3,000 volts. The most dangerous thing about this sport is that those who practice it do sometimes very dangerous tricks in order to become famous among their like-minded people.

Volcanoboarding is number eight. It is also called "snowboarding without the cold". It is an extremely popular sport in Nicaragua and takes place on the Cerro volcano. The sport was invented in 2005 by an Australian expat. Surfing down a volcano is like a snowboard, but can withstand volcanic ash and reach fifty miles an hour. This is a great option for thrill seekers. You also run the risk of being hit by a volcanic eruption during your trip. The last eruption occurred in 1999.

In number seven is the less popular, but no less dangerous and bizarre ice skating. Skaters who do this must be able to sit on the splits in order to pass under the horizontal bar, which is very low. Recently, the record was set by six-year-old Karuna Waghela. She rode the seven-kilometer path in the city of Belgaon in Karnataka, India, and rolled under a bar nine inches above the ground one hundred and seventy-six times. This sport is not for the average adrenaline junkie, you need a good stretch to do it.

A more extreme and funnier version of mountain biking, mountain unicycling. This includes riding a unicycle on mountain bike tracks from gravel to steep hills. The island of kris, where the sport originated, recommends mountain unicycling as an alternative to cycling with a dog. On this type of transport, you can develop speed to keep up with your furry friend. To practice this sport, you need to have a good experience in riding a unicycle.

This is a meeting of brains and muscles. Chessboxing is a hybrid of chess and boxing. Invented by Dutch artist Lepe Rubingh, the sport alternates games of chess with rounds of boxing between games ending in defeat or knockout. Chessboxing is played by two people and the game can last up to eleven rounds. It starts with four minutes of chess and continues with two minutes of boxing. This is one of the strangest sports. Those who are good at chess and boxing will excel in this sport - a perfect combination of brains and brawn.

Number four is Calcio Fiorentino, translated as "Florentine Kick", which is essentially similar to football, only requires more physical strength. Calcio Fiorentino are fifty minutes of games on a sandy square. There are two teams of up to twenty-seven players, the object of the game is to get the ball of the opponents in any way. And the fact that it is still played to this day shows that showing brute force while playing towards others helps generate a lot of adrenaline.

Number three is wingsuit flight, an exhilarating combination of skydiving and free-gliding in the air. The meaning of this sport is to jump off a high cliff or from an airplane, as in the above-mentioned competition, but the wingsuit flight is different in that it allows a person to "fly", for example, along the coast. In this case, you resemble a flying squirrel, wearing a suit that helps transform your body into a "wing". When you are in the air, you first need to spread your arms and legs in order to power the suit. In this way, your "wings" are fully expanded. Wingsuit is one of the most exhilarating sports because it allows a person to truly fly.

The penultimate extreme sport on this list is krieking, which is a version of kayaking. You must make your way along the river through the most difficult places, rocky ledges and waterfalls. Kayaks used for river rafting have a wider nose and stern than regular kayaks to help prevent falling into the water. Cricking is one of the widely available extreme sports and is often offered in entertainment centers.

At number one is the really quirky sport of Buzkashi, the national sport of Afghanistan. Buzkashi means "killing a goat" and the premise of the sport is correspondingly as horrifying as the name. The rider or the whole team on horseback must pass the dead calf across the line. One game can last a whole week. It also has a rich history in the country, but is not a sport for the mentally unstable or physically unprepared. Animal rights activists are trying to ban these games.

The project was completed by 5th grade students: Anastasia Burmistrova and Maria Usovik.

Recently, the number of fans of extreme sports has been growing rapidly. An extreme is a person who has an excellent physical shape and a desire to resist the natural forces of nature. As a rule, extreme people are very brave, fearless and gambling people.

More and more young people began to look for themselves in extreme sports. Why do they do it?

Object of study: extreme sports.

Subject of study: people's opinions on this issue

Where did the word extreme come from?

Extra m (eng. extreme - the opposite, having a high degree, excessive, special) - outstanding, extraordinary actions, usually associated with a danger to life.

Recently, the number of fans of extreme sports is growing rapidly, as well as the extreme sports themselves. An extreme is a person who has an excellent physical shape and a desire to resist the natural forces of nature. As a rule, extreme people are very brave, fearless and gambling people. Extreme is ready to risk his health to get an additional dose of adrenaline in the blood.

From the history…

The first extreme sport appeared in Japan. Some modern sports that have been promoted in the world since the 1950s have gradually come to be called extreme. These sports include: trial, skateboarding, snowboarding, skydiving, rock climbing, caving, rope jumping, etc. Extreme sports are characterized by a high degree of danger to the life and health of the athlete, a large number of acrobatic stunts, a high level of adrenaline, which is released from the athlete during sports.

People who want to do extreme sports must be in good physical shape and in good spirits, that is, they must be psychologically prepared. In addition, the extreme must know the laws of nature and be able to resist them, and the extreme must have an excellent reaction, be ready to make quick decisions. Naturally, if necessary, extreme people must take risks, which in turn must be justified.

In itself, extreme sport is a certain line or line that is between life and death, on this edge there is an extreme sportsman who opposes the forces of nature.

Extreme sports help a person relieve mental stress, or vice versa - get a share of adrenaline. Every year, their new trends develop, as the army of fans is growing rapidly. Sports that seemed extreme 30 years ago are now perceived as ordinary. And feeling this, they do not stand still and are constantly improving. In our presentation, we will introduce you to some extreme sports. Why do people love extreme sports?

In order to understand why people love extreme sports, it is very important to understand what these sports are, why they are called extreme, and why they are divided by the level of enjoyment they receive.

In recent years, the term "extreme sports" has become very popular. They can be divided into three main types: air, land and water. People who have taken up extreme sports are likely to have become disillusioned with regular sports, or simply bored with traditional sports. A person who has started to engage in extreme sports wants to get thrills and discover something new. Despite their great popularity among young people, these sports are not used in schools. They are mostly practiced on an individual level, although in many cases it is possible to get the help of a professional trainer.

Extreme sports often become the subject of discussions based on the definition of what kind of sport can be called extreme. Despite their great popularity among young people, these sports are not used in schools. They are mostly practiced on an individual level, although in many cases it is possible to get the help of a professional trainer.

How are extreme sports different from regular sports?

We can say that this is a sport that differs from the usual, that is, it is associated with increased injuries or even a threat to life, and this is considered the norm for him. Of course, about almost any sport, you can say that it has both dangers and risks. But there they happen more by chance, which cannot be said about extreme sports, where an athlete, knowing in advance, takes risks. Unforeseen circumstances in such sports are what they go for consciously, and not from what they run away from, they prepare themselves in advance, starting with the most common things in school, gradually improving their skills and tricks, and ultimately doing something that does not lend itself to any descriptions.

What character traits and physical qualities are developed by extreme sports?

Do extreme sports affect a person’s character, because it seems that extreme sports should make a person’s physical body stronger, faster, more resilient and more flexible, but does sports do the same with our character. Here the opinions are divided: more than half believe that extreme sports affect the character of a person, including us.

We think that you will be interested to learn about rather rare extreme sports.

Parkour. The art of moving and overcoming obstacles in urban environments. Currently, it is actively practiced and developed in many countries of the world. The essence of parkour is movement and overcoming obstacles of various nature. Both existing architectural structures (railings, parapets, walls, etc.) and specially made structures can be considered as such.

Heli-ski. A kind of skiing, the essence of which is to descend on untouched snowy

slopes. The use of a helicopter for ascent allows you to find various options for descending from the mountains in the conditions of pristine nature, untouched by human invasion, where there is no other way to quickly climb.

Diving. This is swimming under water with devices that provide an autonomous supply of air (or other gas mixture) for breathing underwater from several minutes to 12 hours or more, depending on the depth, type of breathing apparatus and consumption of the gas mixture by the diver.

Surfing. Wave riding on special light boards. There are several similar sports that differ in the technical means used (for example, windsurfing - sailing on a board).

Skysurfing. Ski jumping to perform various figures in free fall. A relatively young type of parachuting. In a short time, it has received rapid development. The aerodynamics of a skier is very different from a simple free fall when skydiving. The vertical speed of the fall is approximately 230 km / h. Quite a dangerous sport. In free flight, unforeseen circumstances may arise. So that the ski does not interfere in emergency situations, there is a mechanism for uncoupling it.

Rock climbing. A sport and outdoor activity that consists of climbing a rock or climbing wall. Originating as a kind of mountaineering, rock climbing is now an independent sport.

Underwater rugby . The Germans are the author of underwater entertainment. In this sport, players have to develop several skills in order to perform successfully. You need to be able to move quickly and maneuver underwater, to fight for the ball be strong and be able to hold your breath for a long time. You also need to get used to difficult tactics, which, in addition to the usual back and forth, left and right, also involves moving up and down.

Paragliding. Flying due to ascending air currents can elevate an athlete to an impressive height. The world record was 4526 meters above sea level. Slipping from such streams, you can go down in free fall, enjoying the amazing view from above. Paragliding could well become an excellent sport for singles, because it is here that a person can be left alone for a long time.

Polo on segways. In this game, players are divided into two teams and must score as many goals as possible with their hammers in the allotted time. The main pleasure of Segway polo is that the electric device cannot accelerate faster than 20 km / h, as a result it is impossible to outperform the competitor due to superior speed. In such a game, maneuverability comes to the fore, the ability to control your body and transport and perform semi-acrobatic tricks with a stick in your hands. At the same time, real players must have excellent vestibular apparatus.

Racing 24 Hours of Le Mans. This auto race is not only the most popular and prestigious endurance race on the planet, it is also the oldest. Start and finish are exactly one day apart, while the word survival for Le Mans is absolutely applicable here - the famous track has already become the site of the death of 21 racers. However, such extreme conditions do not scare off many who want to participate in the race for the past 90 years.

Florentine Football. When football starts to be played without rules, it only adds to its spectacle. The most ancient varieties of this game are exactly the same. Florentine football is full of adrenaline, sweat, tears and even blood. Some even believe that this is the most masculine game in the world, because against its background, both rugby and hockey look rather restrained and subject to the rules.

What extreme sports have been developed in Surgut?

There are many extreme sports in Surgut, but not all of them are actively developing. Here is a story about extreme sportsmen from Surgut.

On the banks of the Ob, a water run of Ugra hydrocyclists started. Thrill-seekers from Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk and Nefteyugansk went on a trip along the route Surgut - Trom-Egan - Russkinskaya. In total, about 40 people gathered for the Yugra voyage, but the state inspection for small boats missed by no means all of them.
The final preparations before a trip always take several hours. It is necessary to check the technical condition of the iron horse and wetsuit, the presence of life jackets, because they will swim away, extreme people from Surgut - 320 kilometers away, to the village of Russkinskaya. The group includes both beginners and experienced travelers.
During the run, extreme sportsmen from Nizhnevartovsk and Nefteyugansk will join the Surgut group. The journey will last approximately 3 days. Route: Surgut - Trom-Egan - Russkinskaya and back.
However, on the shore, three participants were removed from the start. The reason is the lack of any documents for personal water transport. Unregistered jet skis and technical inspection did not pass, which means that no one can predict whether the extreme will reach the end point or not. One way or another, extreme outside the law often leads to tragedy.
The disappointing statistics of this year - three dead - is a confirmation of this. Employees of GIMS note that almost half of Surgut extreme sportsmen are "illegal" hydrocyclists who are not listed anywhere. It is quite difficult to track their level of preparation. Therefore, such water races are held so that extreme people gather in a civilized, and most importantly controlled, environment.

What extreme sports have been developed in Surgut?

Various extreme sports have been developed in Surgut, but not all of them are actively developing. The city has a single center of extreme sports. It is located on Hare Island - in the area of \u200b\u200btreatment facilities. The administration is already thinking about a road that will connect the sports facility with the city. The idea to put all technical events under one roof came about when the question of building a new motocross track arose.

We learned…

Four Surgut travelers became the first Russians to cross the Bering Strait on jet skis. The expedition "In the footsteps of Vitus Bering" ended the day before. The daredevils shared their impressions with a STV correspondent by phone from Chukotka.

“The total length of the route we covered is about 1,900 kilometers. Here in Chukotka, no one believed in this project, and we had many administrative obstacles. This is the border zone, and visas, and everything that you may not even be aware of. We overcame all this and got the maximum pleasure, impressions, adrenaline, ”says one of the travelers Andrey Prudnikov.

Yugra voyage.

Extreme sportsmen from Surgut set off on a journey along the route Surgut - Trom-Egan - Russkinskaya. In total, about 40 people gathered for the Ugra voyage. The route was 320 km. The group included both beginners and experienced travelers.
During the run, extreme sportsmen from Nizhnevartovsk and Nefteyugansk will join the Surgut group. The journey lasted about 3 days.

We conducted an oral survey on the topic: “How do you feel about extreme sports?” And got the following responses:

Never! I'm a terrible coward! For me, a ride in an elevator is already extreme, what kind of parachutes are there!

Valentina is 15 years old.

Normal, but not for everyone, some are very extreme, I jumped from a parachute, I liked it very much.

Alina is 34 years old.

Snowboarding, skydiving, paragliding, rope jumping, rafting, rock climbing - I really like it!

Ekaterina is 19 years old.

I love snowboarding - only thanks to it you can survive the winter! I want to jump from a parachute, but I'm terribly afraid of heights, but in general I have a positive attitude towards extreme sports, the main thing is not to go too far in this matter and be careful. I also dream of learning how to surf!

Daria is 29 years old.

I have a good attitude, I love snowboarding and skiing, I'm going to skydive in the summer.

Julia is 21 years old.

I'm fine. I love Le Mans racing. All my life I dreamed of at least visiting these races. Just a mesmerizing sight!

Vasily is 68 years old.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I would like to say that extreme sports make us stronger, bolder and more experienced, allowing us to look at life from a different perspective. But always and in all your undertakings, you should be guided by common sense and not climb on the rampage. Nothing has a greater value than human life and health. And the list of dangerous extreme sports can be continued almost indefinitely, because humanity itself does not stand still.

Thank you for your attention

It has been actively gaining momentum since the 1990s. Society is rapidly developing, giving rise to its new interesting types and branches.

Such a sport is definitely not for the faint of heart - it is a risk and adrenaline that pushes the daredevils to reach new heights. Athletes are constantly competing to see who can jump higher, run faster, or fly farther.

Often, love for such sports leads to injuries and even death.

extreme sports

Cliff jumping

An extreme sport with Polynesian origins is cliff jumping. Extreme lovers climb a rock 28-30 meters high and jump from it into the water. Often such jumps end in failure.
In order to tickle your nerves, it is not necessary to jump from a great height, for starters, you can choose a lower rock - in any case, you are guaranteed an adrenaline rush.

Bungee jumping with crocodiles

This unusual and very dangerous sport was invented in Australia. The whole point is that a person is tied with a cable to the bridge from which he jumps. The cable is shorter than the distance from the bridge to the ground, but this does not meanthat such entertainment has no consequences.

If just jumping off a bridge isn't enough for you, then the Australians will give you a small bonus - a river under the bridge, teeming with hungry crocodiles.

Climbing the rock by car

This sport will challenge any driver. You will need to drive your car along a terrible road cut by boulders and ravines.

The slightest miscalculation can lead to a car overturning or, even worse, throwing it off a cliff. Buckle up!

Walking on a tightrope

You have probably seen more than once how the tricksters in the circus walk alongrope under the dome. The slackline sling is not quite the rope we are used to. In fact, it is made of nylonout threads that are able to stretch.

Often it is used as a trampoline to perform various tricks, but some have gone further. The most daring athletes pull lines over gorges or between buildings. The sight is truly mesmerizing.

Higher and higher

A relatively new kind of extreme sport, pioneered by the Russians, is to climb the highest point of any structure.

Many extreme lovers even maintain their own blogs, where they talk about the peaks they have conquered. A place to climb can be a construction crane, a skyscraper, or even a monument.

On the wings of the wind

Those who like to tickle their nerves can not sit still, and they came up with another extreme and very unusual sport. Its essence is that for safety you are tied to the upper wing of a biplane, which will subsequently accelerate to 135 miles per hour.

For extreme adventurers, the pilot will be happy to perform some aerobatics that you will definitely never forget.

base jumping

Each of us at least once in our lives dreamed of learning to fly. Fortunately, today everyone has the opportunity to feel the beauty of free flight.

Be prepared to be dressed in a special suit, which in its structure resembles a flying squirrel. Such a suit increases the overall area of your body, so you can glide for a long time in the air.

For a soft landing, of course, you need a parachute. Mortality among fans of this sport is quite high, as many athletes prefer to fly as close as possible to the rocks.

Train surfing

The creator of this sport is clearly not all at home. Train surfing is banned in many countries.

The fact is that a person involved in train surfing climbs onto the roof of the train and tries to stay on it while moving. People around the world are dying trying to do this. The sport was popular in the 80s and 90s and then reappeared in 2005.

parkour

Parkour is the art of overcoming obstacles quickly, accurately and efficiently. This sport does not require special special equipment - it can be practiced in any accessible place.

The steeper the obstacle, the greater the risk and adrenaline rush. Since there is no need for special equipment, parkour is one of the most accessible extreme sports.

speed skateboarding

These unusual skateboarders use long boards with softer wheels and a wide wheelbase, allowing them to reach incredibly high speeds.

They can go up to 70 miles per hour and the slightest miscalculation could be their last.

hang gliding

Although all extreme sports are dangerous, according to statistics, the highest mortality is observed among athletes involved in hang gliding.

Pilots use special equipment - a hang glider, and jump with it from a great height. The large wingspan of a hang glider creates enough lift to keep a person in the air. Sounds pretty fun and relaxing, but it's very dangerous.

encierro

For most people who have visited Spain, the encierro, or bull run, is an interesting tourist experience. However, it is worth remembering that the slightest mistake can lead to serious injury and even death.

Angry bulls are released into the streets of the city, and the task of the race participants is to escape from them. Pure madness.

fishermen vs fishermen

The tournament of fishermen was held as follows: teams of 8 people in boats sailed to the middle of the Nile River and began to fight with each other. Given the fact that many simply did not know how to swim, such entertainment could not do without victims. Yes, and crocodiles with hippos tried to "thin out" the team as much as possible.

Naumachia is somewhat reminiscent of a naval battle. The only distinguishing feature is the aspect that the ships were real. Competitions were held in the amphitheater in Rome. The number of participants reached several thousand. In addition, everything happened as if there was a real war going on. Since it was very difficult to find those willing to participate in the battle, slaves were used.
