Zenit match April 22. Ural lost to Zenit in a scandalous match. Immediately three Urals were removed from the field

Zenit approached the most important match with the Urals in an objectively difficult psychological situation. Housewarming is a great event for any football team - because of the still unresolved problems with the lawn at Krestovsky, it has become the subject of jokes from fans and concern from the players themselves. Another negative background is the elimination from the championship race after the defeat from Spartak. The third is the recent statements of agent Shatov about conflicts in the locker room.

The leader in terms of points scored in the spring part of the championship came to visit the discomforting Zenit. "Ural" on the move, won the last four matches of the Premier League (three - dry), reached the final of the Cup of Russia. This I mean that it would be naive to wait for a simple game.

Although tickets for the first match were sold only for the lower sector of the stadium, the fans celebrated the housewarming with a spectacular performance. It was up to the players.

The starting bulk let us down

Zenit started powerfully, clearly counting on an early goal. In the first 10 minutes, the guests played to the end, and Krishito and Ivanovic won the "air" and dispersed the attacks on a new one. Criscito even shot - he ran to someone else's penalty area, clinging to the defenders of "Ural" did not meet him and the Italian fired from afar. The second shot was also from outside the penalty area.

Zenit was in a hurry, but the guests quickly got their bearings, began to meet opponents away from their penalty area. It was not possible to pass the "fence" of eight players through the center, we had to fall down on the flanks. Here a certain misunderstanding was discovered between Dziuba and the rest of the attack group. Artyom himself was more often on the flank than in the center of the attack. On the left he hung in the zone where, apart from him, there was no one. As a result, for the entire first half, he never won a riding ball and did not drop it to Giuliano or Danny under attack. Already when the teams left for the tribune room, Giuliano was emotionally explaining something to the forward. Judging by the gestures, it would be better for him not to go too far to the flank.

They gave the ball - hit!

Half an hour later, Ural, with a ball possession of 30%, was not inferior to Zenit in terms of the number of shots on goal. The throws weren't dangerous. Only two on target, and those are harmless, not strong. But such focus on the gate is respected. Literally every time Pavlyuchenko managed to catch the ball in the central circle, Ural brought the attack to the punch. Bicfalvi hit the most often: he played in an atypical position in the center of midfield, but he did not lose his activity in the attack from this. By the 40th minute, Lunev had already been hit eight times on goal.

Time number: three strokes of Chisamba Lungu. This is not so much, but the entire Zenit had the same amount.

Surprise in the second half

Everyone expected that starting from the 46th minute, Zenit would add. Oddly enough, added "Ural". Three strikes in five minutes is strong. At first, Dimitrov was the first on the rebound and shot from outside the penalty area. The next chance was a goal: Yusupov unexpectedly "gave" the ball Emelyanov, he put the case to Ivanovich, dragged the ball and hit from the center of the penalty area - hit the post. After that, Zenit woke up and pushed the game away from their goal. Mircea Lucescu released Mollo instead of Yusupov and sent Juliano in a couple to Dziuba, and Danny went to the left flank of the attack. A little earlier, at the end of the first half, instead of the injured Kokorin, Shatov.

Deletes are a key moment in the game

By the 60th minute, Zenit pressed the opponents to the penalty area, although the matter had not yet reached dangerous blows. The match became quite nervous, but Ural held on. And then there was the main moment in the game. Bicfalvie, having a yellow card, went into a hard tackle and ... got to the ball, but then drove over Smolnikov's leg. Referee Eskov decided to show the second yellow card. Ural players immediately surrounded him: Lungu hugged the referee for a minute and seemed to tell the story of his life, and Pavlyuchenko he tried to butt, pushed his teammate at Yeskov and also expressed something emotionally. Another removal. Strange decision. The judges are under pressure in 10 episodes per game, can't they decide everything with removals? Although Pavlyuchenko's yellow card for attacking the referee should have been shown.

After a double removal, strikes went on Zabolotny's goal. From the 60th to the 80th minute, the St. Petersburg team hit nine times. But the removals did not solve the problem with hits on target: eight out of nine missed. "Ural" played according to the classic "4-4-nobody" backyard scheme. It worked out reliably.

"Zenith" put the squeeze on the 86th minute, Ivanovic kicked in the ball literally from the goal line after a corner. Emelyanov and Dzyuba were pushing a little behind. Then they huddled some more. Yemelyanov held the striker with both hands, in response he waved it off and hit the back of the head with his elbow. Finally, the referee intervened, who clearly missed the episode and simply showed both of them a yellow card. Emelyanov she was the second. He will also miss the game against Spartak in the next round.

Playing with eight men, Ural created a scoring chance in the 91st minute and could have made this match legendary, but Dimitrov failed to outplay Lunyova. And in the third added minute, three Zenit players fell out on the goalkeeper. It is logical: just three of the "Ural" was not enough. 2-0 victory in the debut match at the new stadium. But was it really football?

No, we do not need video replays: referees are also participants in the game, which means they have the right to make mistakes. We love football for emotions, and mistakes add emotions to it. And all that ... I wonder if they will continue to say something like that after such a match.

The first half was not rich in sharp moments. Although Zenit confidently controlled the center, Alexander Tarkhanov's team defended quite tightly, and most importantly - competently, having built a real redoubt around their gates. Separately, it is worth noting the guests' goalkeeper Nikolai Zabolotny, who rescued his teammates, when the hosts still managed to find a gap in the enemy's defense - however, this happened infrequently.

"Ural" responded several times with counterattacks, which, fortunately for the blue-white-blue ones, were not dangerous enough. Despite careful play in defense, the guests made several mistakes, earning two yellow cards on the Zenit team (Eric Bikfalvi got a "yellow card" for disrupting an opponent's attack, and Roman Emelyanov for hitting the legs of Alexander Kokorin, who eventually needed a replacement). the consequences can be serious, they had to experience the hard way in the second half.

After the break, the game went on in the same vein - the teams exchanged rather innocent attacks - until Bicfalvi brought down Igor Smolnikov. One can argue about whether the Romanian deliberately crashed into the Zenit's ankle, but the judge was in his right and considered this controversial case a gross violation of the rules. Two yellow cards - and the midfielder was removed from the field.

If the previous episode can be interpreted in different ways, then the behavior of Roman Pavlyuchenko clearly did not play in favor of the Urals. Even a novice football player knows that if you start butting the head of the referee, he is unlikely to suddenly cancel his decision, and he will have to answer for the hysteria. And so it happened - as a result, the Yekaterinburgers lost two players at once in a minute.

To the credit of “Ural”, we note that the guests kept excellent. Even with nine left, they staunchly defended their gates, compensating for the lack of class discipline and dedication. “Zenith” shot at the gates of the guests, but the ball then flew by, then hit the post, then it was knocked out for a corner. Only in the 86th minute Ivanovic managed to successfully put his head under the canopy from the flank so that the ball flew into the goal at an acute angle.

It is difficult to understand what role Artem Dzyuba played in what happened. But midfielder "Ural" Yemelyanov did everything to complicate the life of his team, when he began to rudely push with Dzyuba. Both behaved not in the best way, both received mustard plasters, but since Emelyanov had already "distinguished himself" in the first half, he was immediately expelled from the field.

However, even here “Ural” did not give up and even had a couple of chances to level the score. The last minutes were like a hockey match. The referee awarded a free kick towards the “Zenith”, Zabolotny drove the whole team forward, but the final assault failed. The Petersburgers took possession of the ball, and three players in blue uniforms proudly and slowly ran across the empty field in order to beat the goalkeeper and score the second winning goal, as in training.

Approached in an objectively difficult psychological situation. Housewarming is a great event for any football team - because of the still unresolved problems with the lawn at Krestovsky, it has become the subject of jokes from fans and concern from the players themselves. Another negative background is the elimination from the championship race after the defeat from Spartak. The third one is the conflicts in the locker room recently taken out by Shatov's agent.

And on the third added, three Zenit players fell out onto the goalkeeper. It is logical: just three of the "Ural" was not enough. 2-0 victory in the debut match at the new stadium. But was it really football?

No, we do not need video replays: referees are also participants in the game, which means they have the right to make mistakes. We love football for emotions, and mistakes add emotions to it. And so on. I wonder if they will continue to tell us something like this after such a match.

Ten years. For ten long years, all those associated with Zenit have been waiting for the stadium on Krestovsky Island to host its first match. When the old arena - the Kirov Stadium - was demolished, they thought that football could be seen on the new building in 2-3 years. It was 2006 at the time. The foundation stone of the Zenith Arena was laid in 2007. The initial completion date of March 2009 was pushed back, according to official figures, due to the death of Japanese arena architect Kisho Kurokawa and the ensuing design difficulties. The opening of the stadium has been delayed every year by 12 to 24 months. There were even doubts whether he would be ready for the 2018 World Cup, as there were problems with the contractor. And, fortunately, by December 2016 it was announced that the main construction work had been completed, and in April 2017 Krestovsky would be ready to host the first match.

A vivid personification of this epic just before the match "Zenith" - "Ural" was the story of Vladislav Radimov about how he, in a conversation with Andrei Arshavin, talked about whether he would have time to play at the new stadium or not. As a result, most likely, Arshavin himself will not have time. And Radimov, we recall, hung up his boots at the end of 2008. There was no entertainment program before the fight, because the organizers immediately warned: this is not an opening match, this is one of three test games before the Confederations Cup. The duel turned out as if in an arena, since they decided to bring the roof down due to the February weather in April Petersburg. The only thing that was solemn was a symbolic kick on the ball by Vladimir Kulik, one of the best scorers in the history of Zenit. Kulik gave a pass to Roman Pavlyuchenko, after which the game began.

First time.

Despite the fact that dangerous moments began to fall from the very beginning of the fight, it was impossible to call it interesting in the first minutes. There were too many mistakes and marriage on both sides. Actually, this is what allowed the goalkeepers to warm up in the starting ten minutes. The first goal in the history of the Zenit Arena could have been scored already in the 4th minute. Domenico Criscito delivered an aimed shot from the center of the opponent's half of the field - the ball flew right on target, and only a sharp throw from Zabolotny allowed Ural to avoid problems in this situation.

Five minutes later, the hosts struck another dangerous blow - already from a closer distance. It was Danny from the arch area who again checked the reaction of the goalkeeper of the "bumblebees" - it again turned out to be excellent. And for the time being, the Urals did not let them get closer - Alexander Tarkhanov's wards were very densely located near their penalty area. Only after the 10th minute they started showing up in the opponent's half of the field.

For these raids, Ural created a little hassle at the Zenit goal: Emelyanov and Bikfalvi dangerously punched from a distance, but in both cases Lunev confidently took the ball in his hands. Towards the middle of the half, the game calmed down. And straightened out. Yes, Zenit had a little more possession of the ball, but Yekaterinburg tried not to give the initiative to the opponent, and when there was an opportunity, the guests threw the ball out of the central circle and rushed forward with considerable force.

The 23rd minute was significant: Bikfalvi fouled on Tsallagov and received the first yellow card in the history of Krestovsky. A dubious achievement, but, like other important events, it needs to be recorded - after all, the first match at the stadium, which has been awaited for ten years. Zenit did not succeed in attacking, although it placed more emphasis on attacking actions than Ural. Although the wards of Mircea Lucescu acted in a variety of ways, they just lacked what the “blue-white-blues” constantly did in past matches - crosses on Dziuba.

The first episode, when Artyom was useful on the second floor, happened already at the 30th minute, when there was a discount for Juliano, who was supposed to go one on one with Zabolotny, but slipped, allowing Zabolotny to take the projectile in his hands. The stadium gasped - largely because nothing more dangerous has happened for a long time. A couple of minutes after that, there was a reason to gasp again, but more sadly for Zenit fans: Pavlyuchenko fired from the arch area, Lunev fixed the ball, but uncertainly. Break Roman stronger, the St. Petersburg would have problems.

The game was equal, and by the end of the half, Ural had even more chances. In the 40th minute, Roman Emelyanov, who played roughly in a tackle against Kokorin, put the second yellow card into Ural's liability. Alexander was injured in this situation, an electric car left for him, from which the Zenit forward refused, leaving the field accompanied by doctors. And three minutes later, Mircea Lucescu's coaching staff made a forced substitution: Shatov came out instead of Kokorin, who remained on the lawn until the end of the half, but behind the edge. In the first added minute, Dziuba could have scored from the corner of the goalkeeper's corner, but in the end he missed.

Second half.

The beginning of the second forty-five minutes almost turned into a disaster for Zenit. Apparently, Alexander Tarkhanov, during the break, gave the installation to go forward with great forces in the first five minutes. The attacks of the “bumblebees” were dangerous with the addition “potentially” until the 50th minute. Yusupov made an unsuccessful pass back, Yemelyanov intercepted the ball, beat Ivanovich in the penalty area and shot for sure into the lower left corner - the post! It was the most dangerous moment at that moment.

And it seemed that the Urals would continue to trample forward, but in the end, Zenit, realizing how close the missed ball was, seized the initiative. There were dangerous crosses in the performance of Smolnikov, the game was adjusted through the center. Yusupov was replaced by Yoan Mollo, who earned a dangerous free kick near the right edge of the penalty area. "Ural" in those minutes, as in the middle of the first half, again sat on the defensive and could not get out of it. True, this was of little use to the St. Petersburg team - there were no dangerous blows, and Zabolotny entered the game only when it was necessary to put the ball into the field.

And in the 60th minute there was a key moment of the match. Smolnikov tried to catch the ball at someone else's bow, but Bikfalvi, knocking the ball out, drove into the leg of the Zenit lateral due to inertia. The Romanian received a yellow card for this violation, which automatically turned into a red one. In general, the episode is at the discretion of the judge, because initially Eric played the ball, and only then hit the leg. Something this moment reminded the removal of Vidal. But in the Champions League, the removal was completely illegal - Asensio himself drove into the feet of the Chilean. Immediately, Smolnikov's leg was static, only Bikfalvi played. In general, 50/50. There was a foul, but did he pull on the yellow?

Everything would have worked out if Roman Pavlyuchenko had calmly reacted to this removal. But the "Sleeping Giant" exploded, began to angrily express his displeasure to the judge, at one point he even butted Yeskov's head. For which, probably, he received a direct red card. No matter what happens, you can't behave like that. Even the Chelsea players in 2009, when Tom-Heening Evrebaud drowned Londoners' final dreams, kept a low profile. Only Michael Ballack at the very end ran after the Norwegian, trying to ask him for arbitrariness. For Ural, the ending could have been much easier, but Pavlyuchenko let his team down.

After that, the “bumblebees” had no choice but to sit down in a dead defense and repel the attacks of “Zenith”. Petrograd's Netu came out instead of Yuri Zhirkov, and Krishito moved to the usual left flank. Interestingly, even in the format of the game 11x9, the hosts did not succeed at all. Although real chances to score appeared immediately. In the 65th minute, Giuliano fired near the post, and a minute later Danny hit the woodwork. Moreover, all this happened after the Ural defender almost cut the ball into his own goal - Zabolotny rescued, but Nikolai could not knock the ball far. As a result, finishing off Danny almost turned out to be fatal for the guests.

Immediately, Ural made the first substitution: instead of Chisamba Lungu, Mikhail Merkulov appeared on the Zenit Arena field. Maybe it was in vain that Tarkhanov removed Lungu - the Zambian could single-handedly organize a scoring chance. But in such a situation, there was no particular choice. The St. Petersburg club created several chances in the future, but there were only a couple of dangerous ones. Although, taking into account the difference in class, in such a situation, Zenit had to deal with the opponent on the move.

Only after the 80th minute did the expected massive pile on the gates of Zabolotny go, during which the Petersburgers ruined three (!) scoring chances. First, after the rebate, Dzyuba had to score with his head into the near corner of Giuliano, but Balazhits was ahead of him. Then Neto could hit under the same right post, but did not hit the ball at all. And to top it off, the defender prevented Dziuba from scoring. And only on the fourth attempt the projectile was at the gates of Zabolotny. And even then they didn’t score - they pushed it. In the 86th minute, after Krishito's submission from the standard, Ivanovic brought a sphere into the goal from outside the goalkeeper's area, pushing Zabolotny along the way - 1:0! That’s who they definitely didn’t expect to be the author of the first ball at Krestovsky!

After this episode, another scandal happened: Emelyanov seemed to be pushing Dziuba too zealously, Artyom didn’t like it, and he almost hit Roman in the face with his elbow. Then a skirmish began, the result of which was the presentation of a "yellow card" to both. But here's the catch - for the Ural football player, he became the second. The third removal in the “bumblebees”! Incredible!

In front of the Urals, you just need to take off your hat: the guys of Alexander Tarkhanov even went on the attack in seven, and, moreover, in the first added minute they almost equalized the score - Lunev barely covered the ball after Dimitrov's strike. Then the Yekaterinburgers went on the attack with the whole team, which they got burned on: Zenit organized a 3-on-0 counterattack, Giuliano gave a pass in the penalty area to the left for Mollo, who rolled a projectile into an empty net - 2:0!

Match results.

Honestly, right now it is difficult to objectively comment on everything that happened in the first match at the Krestovsky stadium. Not a single removal from the "Ural" was one hundred percent. In the episode with Bikfalvi - 50/50, in the episode with Pavlyuchenko - you could also limit yourself to yellow. No joke, but the moment with the participation of Emelyanov was perhaps the cleanest in this regard - a mutual skirmish and a second yellow card. The only moment - Eskov could remove Dziuba as well, Artyom played roughly with his elbow. But would it affect the result? It is hard to say. One thing is for sure: there will be numerous reviews in the press and on TV.

In the meantime, let's state dry facts: Zenit began the history of Krestovsky with a victory, not allowing CSKA to go into the lead. Ural demonstrated very good football today, but… Somewhere the discipline really failed. Yekaterinburgers have shown that they can not only completely leave the zone of transitional matches in the next rounds, but also win the Russian Cup.

Ural lost to Zenit in a scandalous match. Immediately three Urals were removed from the field

Twitter correspondent Sport-Express Gosha Chernov

Ekaterinburg football club "Ural" in the 24th round of the Russian Premier League lost to St. Petersburg "Zenith". According to the correspondent of the site, today's game ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the team from the northern capital. At the same time, the Ekaterinburgers finished the match with eight men - three Ural football players were immediately removed from the field.

Today's match was the first to be played at the controversial new Krestovsky stadium, which cost close to 48 billion rubles - a kind of record among world arenas. The closed roof of the stadium saved the spectators and players from the snow that was falling in St. Petersburg today.

For the first time this year, striker Roman Pavlyuchenko came out in the starting lineup of the Urals, pairing with the main "star" of the Yekaterinburg club this spring - Vladimir Ilyin.

The first scoring chance was created by the hosts already in the third minute - a dangerous long-range shot was performed by Krishito - Ural goalkeeper Nikolai Zabolotny had to enter the game, who saved the Yekaterinburg residents by hitting the ball. "Zenith" continued to push, and "Ural" could not even go to someone else's half of the field. In the sixth minute, there was another blow from outside the penalty area: Danny beat him, and again Zabolotny was at his best. The first blow of the "Urals" on the gates of "Zenith" was performed by Roman Emelyanov, but it turned out very poorly. Despite this, it became clear that the Yekaterinburgers withstood the onslaught of their rivals and went forward, organizing several counterattacks, and a couple of minutes later Bikfalvi dangerously beat. As a result, Yekaterinburg team equalized the game and the first half ended with the score 0:0.

The second half "Ural" started as if he was the owner of the field - ball control, positional attacks. And in the 51st minute, Yekaterinburgers could open an account. At the same time, the Zenit players played extremely unsuccessfully: Yusupov made a back pass, Yemelyanov was able to intercept the ball, beat Ivanovich on the backswing and hit the goal - the post saved Zenit.

The main event of the match took place in the 61st minute of the match, when referee Eskov sent off two Ural players at once in just 60 seconds. It was simply unbelievable: at first, Bikfalvi received a second yellow card for a foul on Smolnikovo. In fact, the Yekaterinburg player played the ball, which caused an angry reaction from the Ural players. Pavlyuchenko went to the judge, began talking to him in a raised voice and also received a red card, which was also extremely strange. Thus, "Ural" was forced to continue the match with nine.

Naturally, in such a situation, Zenit began to attack more, but Ural held back the attacks of the St. Petersburg team for a very long time. But in the 86th minute, Zenit still scored. Ivanovich shoved the ball into the goal with his head - 1:0. And after a goal is scored, a new skirmish occurs - Dzyuba pushes with Emelyanov. As a result, both receive a yellow card, but for the Ural player it becomes the second - another removal. And the Ekaterinburg club remained in eight - an unprecedented fact for the championships of Russia.

The point in the match was put by the player of "Zenith" Mollo, who scored after three St. Petersburg players at once entered the gates of "Ural" against one goalkeeper Zabolotny - 2:0.
